A room full of packed boxes during a house clearance

Clearing a house is rarely just a job. It might be a move, a downsize, a rental handover, or the home of someone you’ve lost. Whatever the reason, Remove It takes the whole thing off your hands — one team, from the first call to the final sweep.

We work through the property room by room. Anything you want to keep is set aside for you, usable furniture and household goods are donated where possible, recyclables are recycled, and only what’s left is disposed of — through licensed facilities, under our waste collection permit.

What a house clearance includes

  • Full or partial clearances — one room, the attic, or the whole house
  • Furniture, white goods, beds, mattresses and carpets
  • Attics, sheds, garages and garden clear-outs
  • Sorting what to keep, donate, recycle or dispose of — with you, at your pace
  • Careful handling of photos, paperwork and sentimental items
  • All the lifting, loading and removal, then a final sweep

Questions

House clearance: your questions answered

How much does a house clearance cost?

It depends on the size of the property, how much is going and how easy access is. We give you a clear, upfront price before we start — no hidden extras. Send a few details through the form or call 087 00 33 88 9.

Do you do probate and bereavement house clearances?

Yes. We work patiently and respectfully, set aside personal items and paperwork for the family, and can coordinate access with your solicitor or estate agent.

What happens to the things you take?

We sort everything. Usable items are donated where possible, recyclable materials are recycled, and the rest is disposed of responsibly through licensed facilities under our permit (NWCPO-26-13389-01).

Do I need to be there on the day?

You’re welcome to be, but you don’t have to. We can agree access arrangements in advance and keep you updated.

Is there anything you can’t take?

Some materials — such as asbestos, chemicals, paint and gas cylinders — need specialist handling. Tell us what you have when you get in touch and we’ll advise on the right option.
